So What's New with HG??

It's been crazy busy this week regarding Homeschooling Gamers' Services.

Upon the expiration of the HG MC Realm; I added a Creative (flat) Realm and another Realm that will change in theme providing mini-games and adventures.

I will post the Invite Codes for the Realms on Discord in Announcements, the Facebook Groups, and update the Website.

So HG now has 3 MC Realms for our Xbox/Console - Mobile - Windows10 Gamers!!

I am also super excited to have some help Monitor and Assist in those Realms.

For the Parents of those 'Helpers' be sure to add their volunteer time assisting us, to their schooling accomplishments. I hope to update the Website soon with all the new changes and many new faces.

That brings me to what is really consuming my time.....

Some of you may know that the Worlds Server (over a year old) started as the HG Mega Server. It alone carried the Worlds, Minigames, and Challenges. That server ballooned from hosting 10,15, 20, 25, 30 gamers. It grew to accommodate the dozens+ plugins, builds & gamers as it grew. Then it starting to really struggle and the costs to keep upgrading grew too. So first of this year; I decided to break it up into 3 different servers to balance out the RAM/Memory strain. We have 3 separate servers now 'bungeed' together so gamers can easily go from one to the other depending on what kind of Minecrafting they want. It's been great but sadly the first server is still struggling. In-part to the immense size of many of those worlds (and builds) that we've had for over 3 years. We've done all we can to keep resuscitating that original server. It is tired and has become a daily stressor.

(I'm starting to think it's haunted! So many phantom things keep happening!)

So I decided Yesterday to purchase a **brand new server** and begin transferring everything that is really vital from the Original. There are worlds on the original server that just won't delete, keep returning, and many other Warnings and Scripts constantly crashing and lagging it.

The gamers have been great about the prospect of a fresh New World's server.

I am going to do my Best at bringing everything over but there are some worlds that just won't transfer. **This gives those 'bored' Minecrafters a New canvas and challenge to log-on and create.**

As soon as the new Worlds server is up and open; I can cancel the old one.

This brings me to Support.

We have raised more money in donations over the course of 6 months, this year, than we did last year. Thank you So much for seeing HG as a worthy service to donate too. We really, really need the funds.

For the families who donated last year when we started the VIP - I need to check with everyone's VIP. It maybe that some will need to donate again to carry it another year. VIPs are annual.

A huge 'Thank you' and hugs to the families who periodically give. It touches my heart and not only pushes us forward but helps keep us motivated to give our time and energy to each of the platforms.

If you've thought about supporting the Servers, & Realms - this is a great time to do so.

With the added cost of these new services; we really need the funds.

We do none of this for profit.

We've never used donation money for personal gain.

All proceeds go to a HG paypal account that is used to pay the Server Hosting Company, Plugin Developers, Microsoft for Realms, and Website Hosting Service. VIP is our way of saying 'Thank You' to those who donate. Donations can be as small as $5.00. It all adds up. It's all greatly appreciated.

Don't worry about the New Server Address.

You will still get to us through the HGMINECRAFT.mc.gg.

But I will have to Re-Whitelist every single gamer. That's still a few days away though.

So it's pretty busy at my desk - but again, I am grateful for those gamers that recently stepped-up to help take some of the stress and strain off of me by assisting in the running of the Realms. So helpful!!!

Thank you again to the HG parents who are spreading the world about having a Safe place for Homeschoolers to connect and game together. I haven't had to worry about promoting the Server & Realms for many months and it's wonderful!! Keep Sharing. The more gamers, the more fun!!
